About Us

Welcome to NIDOA Canada, Calgary Chapter

Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Americas is an umbrella organization for Nigerian professionals in the Americas (North and South America) with the vision of creating networking, co-operation and collaboration among Nigerian professionals for individual and collective success in each of the countries we reside. NIDOA has the further vision of mobilizing resources and manpower from its membership towards building our home country, Nigeria.

Nigerians Inspiring Development Organization Americas Canada, Calgary Chapter is the Calgary local chapter for the organization.

Like our umbrella organization, our Calgary chapter has a continual goal of aiding in the community’s self-improvement in many ways such as: creating a welcoming space to network, hosting impactful events, offering career and business mentorship, and running educational programs.

OUR FOCUS

In order to achieve our goals, our focus is on the following areas:

FOSTERING COMMUNITY

NIDOA Canada, Calgary Chapter creates a space for like minded professionals to meet, connect, and form long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships. Our members regularly see NIDOA Calgary as a great way to meet new people, share ideas, and get inspired.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We believe that education gives you a competitive advantage in your career or business, which is why education is one of our main focuses as an organization. Learning is a never-ending process, so we host many events, workshops, and information sessions throughout the year which cover a wide range of topics.

Membership Programs

For more in-depth and individual support, we offer programs to our members to help them on an ongoing basis, such as our one-on-one mentorship program, and our entrepreneurship program.

PHILANTHROPY

At NIDOA Canada, Calgary Chapter, we believe that it is important to give back to the communities in which we reside and our communities in Nigeria.
